A Community Brand Ready for Any Shelf

Aunt Manda’s now has a visual identity as bold and authentic as the product inside the bottle.

  • Seven-flavor packaging system that reads as a cohesive family while giving each flavor its own identity

  • A scalable mascot system — adding new flavors requires no reinvention, only a new basket

  • Full digital presence from website landing page to branded Linktree, consistent at every touchpoint

  • A brand that honors its roots — Sherman Park, Milwaukee, and Jamaican heritage — without compromise

A Bold Product Without a Visual Voice

Aunt Manda’s Jamaican Ginger Drinks, crafted with real ginger and cane sugar at Upstart Kitchen in Sherman Park, Milwaukee, had a product worth celebrating and a story worth telling. What they didn’t have was a visual identity to tell it.

Without a brand system, Aunt Manda’s faced real competitive disadvantages:

  • No shelf presence: A compelling product was invisible at the point of
    purchase

  • No cultural identity: The Jamaican heritage and Milwaukee roots had no visual expression

  • No scalability: Seven distinct flavors with nothing to unify them as a family

  • No digital footprint: Nothing to carry the brand from the bottle to the screen

A Brand System Built on Cultural Pride

We built the identity from the ground up, wordmark, mascot, color system, packaging, and digital presence, grounded in the colors and spirit of the Jamaican flag and the warmth of the woman behind the brand.

  • Custom wordmark: Hand-drawn letterforms, bold, architectural, and entirely unique. In four configurations for maximum flexibility across every application

  • Mascot “Aunt Manda”: A custom-illustrated figure in profile, basket balanced on her head, rendered in a bold flat style that commands shelf attention. The basket changes fruit with each flavor, a built-in variable system that makes every SKU distinct while keeping the family unified

  • Color palette: Five brand colors; FLOWER (deep orange), FOREST (green), GINGER ROOT (gold), CANE SUGAR (cream), and MIDNIGHT (dark green) drawn directly from the Jamaican flag and the ingredients themselves

  • Packaging system: Jamaican diamond trade dress across all seven labels, angled product names set large for maximum shelf impact, plus a unique drink recipe on every bottle

  • Brand standards guide: A full graphic standards document empowering the client and all future partners to apply the brand with consistency and confidence
